Hope I'm remembering the attributes/skills correctly. But you're right I think there are some skills it might be worth putting 1 learning point into at least: trade, charm, roguery, tactics, leadership, steward, medicine. 1 in each of those is a lot of potential skill points you can earn to get more levels I guess.

Basically, they're all random right now. There are provisions in the code for the game to have a set of default companions available and have some randomly generated. The goal is for the game to generate with +/- 5 of 20-25 Companions of a mix of both sorts. (Or, perhaps, the guaranteed ones with the rest being randomly generated.)
